From the Base Station, there are 2 stations before we reached the peak of Gunung Matchincang. As there were some people waiting in line at the middle station to go to the peak, we did not disembark here but continued our journey straight to the peak.
Tips:
If you want a breathtaking view of Langkawi from the mountain, go straight ahead to the Top Station. If you stop at the middle station, you will have to line up again to catch the cable car to go to the top. Sometimes, the line can be very long.
There are two observation decks at the Top Station. One on the right and another on the left. Both offer different views of the island. Upon reaching the top station, we chose to go to the right observation deck.
The view was amazing, fantastic and magnifique, as the French would say. I was speechless to see such lush greenery, coupled with strong winds and never ending sea.
I really wanted to walk on the skybridge, but unfortunately, it was closed for maintenance. Otherwise, it would have been such an amazing experience.
![The skybridge... It was closed for maintenance [February 2013]. A valid reason to come back here! ;)](https://i1.wp.com/kakijalans.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/2013-02-02-16-15-45.jpg?resize=604%2C340)

After we had done cam-whoring on the first observation deck, we went to the second deck and took a lot of photos from there. Then, we went downstairs and bought some food and drinks from the cafe situated in the middle.
Tips:
Foods and drinks here are EXPENSIVE. The cable car management does not allow you to bring your own drinks/food. So, better buy a small bottle of mineral water/drink and put it in your backpack. Act confidence to avoid being caught 😉

Gladly we managed to be here without any incident. And gladly we do not have acrophobia!
