There are plenty of reasons why you should visit 1000 Sook

But first, what is 1000 Sook?

1000 Sook is a Thai phrase meaning 1000 Happiness. It is a Western-themed farm with a lot of farm animals under their care. The objective of 1000 Sook is to give its visitors happiness while playing and petting the farm animals there. The place also includes a cafe as well as a souvenir shop.

Why you should visit 1000 Sook?

So, what are the top three reasons why you should visit 1000 Sook then?

1. It is easily accessible

The main reason why you should visit 1000 Sook is because of its location. It is easily accessible to go to this farm. It is situated along Pethkasem Road, which is the main highway connecting all the major cities in Thailand. If you are heading towards Bangkok, you will pass by 1000 Sook on your way up north.

In fact, you can also visit 1000 Sook after you have visited other nearby attractions such as the Santorini Park and the Factory Outlet.

2. Another reason why you should visit 1000 Sook: Its design

Yes, just admit it. Being Asians, we always have a fascination on the Western architectural designs, especially the ones in the countryside. So, visiting 1000 Sook is just like fulfilling the dreams without having to burn a hole in the wallet by physically being there. Everything at 1000 Sook has been carefully design to resemble the American countryside area – minus the heat, of course.

1000 Sook might be small in size but there are many pretty places where you can go and take nice photos with your family members.

3. Being up close with the animals

Yes, this is another reason why you should visit 1000 Sook when visiting Hua Hin. If you are living in a city, how many times can you actually see farm animals up close? We bet the only animals that you usually see are the stray cats and dogs. How about sheep? Ponies?

Well, at 1000 Sook, you can get up close with the animals and even feed them. There are a lot of sheep, a couple of ponies and other animals such as rabbits. From our observations, the animals look well-cared for and the farm is also well-maintained. So, if you have never been up close with animals before, maybe this is the time for you to do so by visiting 1000 Sook.

Some tips when visiting 1000 Sook

Some tips when visiting 1000 Sook:

  • It is better to visit during late evenings as the heat during mid-afternoon can be intolerable for some;
  • If you plan to visit during mid-afternoon, please bring an umbrella along to shield yourself from the sun;
  • If there are many people feeding the animal, please refrain yourself from doing so too. We do not want the animals to be overfed;
  • If you are hungry after your visit to the farm, there is a restaurant which has good reviews among other travellers (non-Halal)

  1. Nice place for the gram and well maintained! Never heard of this park when I was in Hua Hin. Nevertheless, there are many parks to choose from. Spoilt for choice!

    • Yes, too many choices! We were supposed to visit Swiss Sheep Farm too because it was viral in MY. But it was closed when we were in Cha-am. But this place did not disappoint. Such a pretty place albeit a bit small in size.
