Itchy to go somewhere? Us too! Let’s see where to go when travel reopens

With the prospect of travel finally re-opening, many people will be eager to make up for lost time. This is not only to treat themselves after what has been a tough period, but also to have fun, take a break from normal life and soak up another culture. Of course, with so many fabulous places around the world to jet off to, it can sometimes be hard to know where to start. So many choices to go when travel reopens.

So, what are the top three locations to consider when travel reopens?

If you want to jet off somewhere exotic which promises sun and a warm welcome, Thailand is a smart move. Located in South East Asia, it is easy to get to Thailand these days with regular flights from most other countries in the world. There are lots of great places to visit in Thailand, but the prime destination for many people is undoubtedly Bangkok.

This is an ideal place to enjoy the bustle of big-city life, try out some of the gorgeous street food, or take in a Thai boxing match at the famed Lumpinee Stadium. Of course, when travel reopens, there are also some other fabulous locations around Thailand if you prefer a relaxing beach holiday – with some great nightlife thrown in! From Koh Samui to Phuket, finding crystal clear water and golden sand to enjoy a drink on is no problem.

Another top location to check out again when travel reopens is France. A real jewel in Europe’s crown, this country has so much to offer. There is the romance of Paris to enjoy and all the sights this brings, such as the famed Eiffel Tower. As you would expect, there are also some awesome things to do in Paris, such as a stroll along the banks of the River Seine and a visit to the famous Louvre Museum.

France also has some very pretty regions to visit – from the lavender fields of Provence to the charming Loire Valley. There is also the glamorous Cote d’Azur to enjoy – towns like Nice here really warrant a visit with their high-end shops and fancy restaurants. The cool thing is that, wherever you go in France, you will love the language, culture, food and drink.

Travel reopens? Go to Tenerife!

For something a bit different, Tenerife is the place to go. This beautiful volcanic island is the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, and it’s the perfect destination for lovers of sun, sea, and sand. Adventurous travellers will love hiking in Mount Teide National Park, and those who prefer a more laidback holiday will appreciate the glorious beaches. For history lovers, their first stop should be the UNESCO World Heritage old town of San Cristóbal de La Laguna with its charming cobbled streets.
